Perfection looks different for everyone.

My neighbors are awesome, but they are different from me.  They parent differently, partner differently, live differently.  God calls us to be unique.  To walk according to His will for MY life,  not their lives.

Marriages are different.  If it works for them, it works for them.  No one walks in your shoes except for you.  No one is married to your spouse but you.  Live for the Lord.  Take no prisoners.  Don't be afraid to be different.

If you've walked through pain so great most people could not imagine, or hardly survive, know this:

The Lord disciplines those He loves.  Allows pain in the lives of those He loves.  Those He loves.  That is you.  That pain has gotten you to this point, a place of surrender.  You can do this.

It is time we stopped whispering about one another.  Let's help each other out.  This life is not easy, and it is time.

Proverbs 3:5-12

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

I know we all need a dose of hope, a bit of compassion, a moment of peace.  You aren't just going to survive it, but you might just find joy too.  If you are hopeless, confused, angry, sad or just want to punch someone, you are not alone.

The Lord sees you.

  1. Bravo, my friend. And that last graphic. Yes.

  2. It seemed like a good idea at midnight, Julie.

  3. Keep writing Allison. Great stuff per the usual.

  4. The next one will be entitled, "Autry may do it, but that doesn't make it right."

  5. Yeah I might do it today. Punch someone! Thanks Allison!
